DNA Bioscience Hires Global Healthcare Expert to New Role of CEO
DNA Bioscience was founded in 2003 and has already established a leading reputation in the expanding DNA testing market, with services including testing for paternity and ethnicity, forensics and DNA preservation. It is one of the few DNA companies to be certified by the Department for Constitutional Affairs and to have ISO accreditation.
Rowley commented on his appointment:
"I see huge growth potential within the DNA testing industry, not only in the UK but also in Europe, Asia and North America. Building on DNA Bioscience's existing reputation for high service levels and innovation and the strength of the existing management team, I know that we can rapidly develop the company and make DNA Bioscience the most recognised name within its industry."
John McKinley, chairman of DNA Bioscience adds:
"We are delighted to attract the calibre of John Rowley to DNA Bioscience. His international experience in building brands, managing fast growing companies and establishing key corporate partnerships will provide very important attributes to our current management team. In a short time, we have already established a recognised leading position in the market and with John's leadership we will achieve our ambitious goals for the company."
Immediately prior to joining DNA Bioscience, John Rowley was Regional Managing Director, EMEA, for International SOS, the world's leading healthcare and medical assistance company, where his responsibilities included managing the European and Middle East region with revenues in excess of US$60million and overseeing 240 staff. He began his career working for the pharmaceutical division of GlaxoSmithKline in London, rapidly progressing from management trainee to Area Manager, Middle East, within five years. He then worked for over 10 years with Diageo Plc, in various general management and sales and marketing positions in the UK and then Asia, covering both large, established markets and smaller scale emerging markets.
