Profos AG achieves ISO 9001:2000 and EN ISO 13485:2003 certification
"Profos is focused on providing highest quality products and solutions for our customers and we are continuously working to improve how we deliver on that promise," said Dr. Ingrid Wanninger, Director Marketing & Sales. "Achieving ISO certification demonstrates the entire Profos team's extensive commitment to quality" commented Laura Haasmann, Quality Manager at Profos.
ISO 9001:2000 applies to organizations involved in the design and development, manufacturing, installation, and servicing of products. To be certified to the standard, companies must implement a comprehensive quality management system that addresses all areas of operation - from internal staff training practices to product design, manufacturing, delivery, and service.
External auditors with DEKRA visited Profos headquarters in October 2006 and spent two days conducting a comprehensive audit. Auditors examined all of Profos business and quality systems, including product development processes, materials documentation practices, and measurement systems for tracking customer satisfaction and supplier performance. Profos AG successfully completed the audit, and was officially ISO-certified in November 2006.
