Aptamer Cooperation IBA GmbH – RiNA GmbH
A promising alternative to antibodies
IBA GmbH and RiNA GmbH are announcing today that they will collaborate in the field of aptamers in the future.
Aptamers are DNA, RNA (or peptide) molecules that show ability to bind to specific target molecules. Due to their specificity, high affinity, low immunogenicity and ease of use, Aptamers have been widely used in medical and industrial fields.
RiNA GmbH provides a customer orientated solution of Aptamer development processes for a broad range of target molecules. This Aptamer Generation Service (AGS) enables the generation of new DNA or RNA Aptamers.
Once the Aptamer of interest has been generated, IBA comes into play. Taking advantage of 20 years of expertise in high quality oligonucleotide synthesis, the company offers custom made DNA and RNA Aptamers based on the customers (or RiNA’s) specifications. A large selection of modifications and fluorescent labels is available.
“IBA and RiNA are two German Biotech companies committed to very high quality standard for their products and services. RiNAs Aptamer Generation Service combined with IBAs known expertise in chemical nucleic acid synthesis complements each other perfectly. Therefore, this collaboration is very promising to attract Aptamer customers.” said Dr. Joachim Bertram, CSO/Managing Director at IBA.
