GENALICE receives EU FP7 Health Grant

16-Sep-2013 - Netherlands

The EU has signed the final document to approve the FP7 Health grant Aggressotype on the biology of aggression in child psychiatric disorders. It is a 6 million Euro project, which will be coordinated by Professor Barbara Franke at the Radboud UMC in Nijmegen (the Netherlands). An amount of 200,000 Euro is awarded to GENALICE. The biomedical big data company participates by applying its correlation engine, GENALICE LINK, to the large and complex datasets that are used by the consortium.

Professor Franke commented: “GENALICE’s role is making their unique correlation engine, GENALICE LINK, suitable for the analysis of aggression data coming from different sources”.

The overall aim of this project is to investigate the cause of severe aggression in children with ADHD and conduct disorders and in the general population. The focus will be on prevention  - determining reliable aggression prediction – and personalized treatment.
