Axxam is a privately owned innovative Partner Research Organization (iPRO) providing, since its inception in 2001, excellent quality services in the early phases of drug discovery.

Our capabilities and expertise include: - Molecular biology (cloning, gene expression analysis, protein expression, genomic engineering) - Assay development (cellular models, on recombinant cell lines as wells iPS cells, and biochemical systems) - Reagent provision (proteins and cell lines) - Off-the-shelf assays ready for profiling and High Throughput Screening - Fully automated High Throughput Screening – 384/1536 format (several read-outs available including radiometric) - Medium /high-throughput phenotypic screening - Electrophysiology (manual and automated, high-thoughput) - Access to the AXXDIV4.0 compound collection (around 325,000 compounds) and to the Symegold library (around 75,000 compounds) - Compound management - Hit follow-up programs - Safety and liability profiling - Innovative technologies for smarter assays

The headquarters of Axxam S.p.A. are located at OpenZone Campus in Bresso, a small city in the outskirt of Milan (Italy) that hosts also our biology laboratories while our medicinal chemistry laboratories are located at the Novartis Torre Campus in Torre Annunziata (Naples, Italy).

Axxam Group has two screening facilities, one located at the headquarters in Italy and one in Constance (Germany), under Axxam GmbH, a subsidiary of Axxam S.p.A. that counts also a second business unit, called IMAX Discovery, focused on offering services to food and beverages, fragrance and cosmetic industries.

Our clients are distributed around the globe and active in the Life Sciences as pharmaceuticals, crop protection, animal health, cosmetics, fragrances, food and beverages.
