International Federation of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers & Associations (IFPMA)

The IFPMA was founded in 1968 as a global, non-profit, non-governmental organization. With members across the world and a secretariat based in Geneva, Switzerland, the IFPMA represents the research-based pharmaceutical industry, including the biotechnology and vaccine sectors. Its members comprise leading international companies as well as national and regional industry associations, in both developed and developing countries, across all five continents. Its primary role is to represent our members' views in dialogue with global intergovernmental organizations, the diplomatic missions of national governments and specialized non-governmental organizations.
