Coordinating small molecules, several (phosphorylated) peptides and proteins, oligonucleotides or phospholipids tend to interact with column hardware even with so called inert metals such as stainless steel or titanium. The adsorption of these substances on metallic surfaces usually results in peak tailing, carry-over and reduced recovery.

YMC Accura (U)HPLC columns feature a bioinert surface coating of the column body and frits. The robust bioinert coating is 130 to 320-fold thicker making it more durable than similar concepts. Long-term inertness against sensitive substances is ensured, resulting in excellent peak shapes, preventing carry-over, and ensuring high recovery. Furthermore, YMC Accura columns can be used without pre-conditioning. All 8 YMC Triart stationary phases (1.9, 3, and 5 µm), as well as the non-porous BioPro IEX SF/QF stationary phases (3 and 5 µm), are available as inert YMC Accura columns.

Now available: Precolumns with a (bio)inert coating, 5 mm in length, and an inner diameter of 2.1 mm or 4.6 mm for long-lasting, excellent analyses!
