2010 Geno/Grinder®
High-throughput cell disruption as well as fast and efficient sample homogenization
The 2010 Geno/Grinder® special mill revolutionizes sample homogenization and extraction. By combining both steps, bottlenecks are avoided.
The instrument is unique in the market as it supports both manufacturer's own and customized deep-well plates or single tubes with different sizes. This allows up to 6 x 96 samples to be processed simultaneously (high-throughput).
The use of disposable tubes prevents contamination and saves time.
With a wide selection of grinding media and digestion kits, different sample types can be homogenized. The optimized kit combinations guarantee highest yields of RNA, DNA, proteins and other biomolecules. Operation is intuitive via a touchscreen display. The vertical movement of the sample vials ensures homogeneous and reproducible results. The extremely high speed enables complete grinding of even difficult materials. The digestion process can be manually interrupted at any time and a safety lock prevents unintentional opening.
Various cryo adapters are available for homogenization of temperature-sensitive samples.
The 2010 Geno/Grinder® cell disruption mill is ideal for pesticide analysis (example QuEChERS method), DNA/RNA extraction, protein extraction, GMO analysis and tissue disruption. This instrument makes sample homogenization fast, efficient and reliable.
