Generex Awarded New Patent in Europe
Company Expands Patent Portfolio in Several European Countries
Generex Biotechnology Corporation announced that it has received a new European patent. The European Patent Office granted the Company its sixth European patent titled, "Micellar Pharmaceutical Compositions for Buccal and Pulmonary Application." The patent has been validated in eleven European countries including Great Britain, Germany and France. The patent contains composition and process claims for macromolecular pharmaceuticals in micellar form.
"We are pleased that we have been granted this European patent," said Rose Perri, the Company's Chief Operating Officer as we plan ahead for our regulatory submissions with the centralized authorities in Europe.
Generex currently holds an aggregate of 142 patents worldwide (21 of which are United States patents) and has an aggregate of 120 patent applications pending in various jurisdictions.
