06-Mar-2002

March 06, 2002 — Delaware state officials announced Monday that Incyte Genomics, Inc., headquartered in Palo Alto, California, has signed a lease agreement with DuPont to locate its first East Coast biotechnology research operation in the Stine-Haskell Research Center in Newark, Delaware. Incyte plans to occupy the space this month and initially will lease up to 50,000 square feet of the Stine-Haskell Research Center, a DuPont site, located on Elkton Road.

Delaware Governor Ruth Ann Minner said she is "pleased that DuPont is a partner with the state in finding an ideal location for Incyte."

DuPont Senior Vice President Stacey Mobley, who chairs the Delaware Governor's Strategic Economic Council, said, "In order for Delaware to remain economically healthy, the state needs to attract new industry, as well as grow the businesses that are already here. We welcome Incyte to the Delaware business community."
