Executive Board of Drägerwerk Verwaltungs AG has new members and new functions

On March 17, 2008, the Supervisory Board of Drägerwerk Verwaltungs AG appointed three new members to the Company's Executive Board effective as of April 1, 2008:

- Dr. Dieter Pruss (51) will be responsible for Sales and Marketing for the safety division. Up to now he has headed two of safety's four strategic business fields. He is the first internal candidate the Supervisory Board has appointed to the Executive Board for some time.

- Gert-Hartwig Lescow (40) will be the new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). From September 2006 he managed a strategic project for the executive board of Voith AG in Heidenheim. Prior to that, he was the commercial general manager and head of finance at mobilcom AG in Büdelsdorf.

- Dr. Herbert Fehrecke (58) will be the new Chief Operations Officer (COO). Previously, Dr. Fehrecke was a member of the Freudenberg AG & Co. KG management team, where he was responsible for technology. Prior to that he was the head of assembly at Volkswagenwerk AG in Wolfsburg.

Dr. Ulrich Thibaut was appointed to the Executive Board as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) on June 18, 2007. Appointing a COO to the executive board adds a further functional component to the Executive Board structure, headed by Stefan Dräger. "Thus we have allocated a board member to each of the key levels of added value", explains Stefan Dräger, Executive Board Chairman of Drägerwerk Verwaltungs AG. There is no change to the legal entities of Dräger Medical AG & Co. KG and Dräger Safety AG & Co. KGaA.

Prof. Dr. Albert Jugel, the Executive Board Chairman of Dräger Safety AG & Co. KGaA and the Executive Board member for the Safety division of Drägerwerk Verwaltungs AG, will leave the Company on March 31, 2008 on the best of terms and by mutual agreement.

For personal and health reasons, Prof. Jugel will return to his hometown of Dresden and may take up a new professional challenge there. From July 1, 1999, Prof. Jugel was the head of the safety division and a member of the Drägerwerk AG Executive Board. The management team and employees of this division achieved excellent results thanks to continuous improvement and change. The Supervisory Board and Executive Board of Drägerwerk Verwaltungs AG would like to thank Prof. Jugel for his contribution to these achievements. The Supervisory Board and Executive Board have approved Prof. Jugel's decision to leave and wish him all the best for the future.

The incumbent CFO Hans-Oskar Sulzer will also leave the Company on March 31, 2008. Hans-Oskar Sulzer has decided to leave the Company, in full agreement with the Company, to facilitate the successor process. The Supervisory Board and Executive Board have approved Hans-Oskar Sulzer's decision to leave and wish him all the best for the future.
