Cambridge Research Biochemicals appoints key personnel to support the increasing demand for its innovative research tools

Product Expansion Drives Recruitment

14-Jan-2008

Cambridge Research Biochemicals (CRB) has announced the appointment of two new members to its board of directors. Peter White, PhD, who has joined as consultant Technical Director, has a wealth of experience in the peptide arena - his benchmark guides to Fmoc peptide synthesis having international renown.

His appointment, along with that of Moharem El Gihani, PhD, as Business Development Director, will help meet the increasing demand for innovative research products and build on the company's reputation for the supply of research tools like stable-labelled peptides for absolute quantitation of protein expression.

CRB's Managing Director, Emily Humphrys, explained: 'Our customer base has been expanding over the last few years to include not just big pharma, but biotechs and academics as well. With this change, demand has diversified. People know us for our proprietary Cy(TM) dye and Alexa Fluor dye-labelled peptides, but, increasingly, we are supplying products like Peptide Nucleic Acids (PNAs), as synthetic DNA analogues. It's these kinds of cutting-edge research tools that our expanded team will be helping to deliver. Our goal is to become number-one for innovation as well as reputation.'
