MedMira Appoints New Executive for Global Business Development

MedMira Inc. announced the appointment of Richard "Dick" Van Maanen to the position of Vice President of Global Business Development for the Company.
Mr. Van Maanen is a 25-year veteran of the in vitro diagnostics industry, and has held sales, marketing, and business development positions with Abbott Laboratories, ADI Diagnostics, and Calypte Biomedical prior to joining MedMira. His past responsibilities have focused heavily on distribution and business development related to the diagnosis of infectious diseases such as HIV, STDs, and viral hepatitis. Over the course of his career, Mr. Van Maanen has conducted business all over the world, including Sub-Saharan Africa, India, and Southeast Asia where the HIV/AIDS crisis is most acute.
