BioXell Appoints Thomas Szucs as New Chairman of the Board of Directors
BioXell S.p.A. announced that Thomas Szucs, member of its Board of Directors, has been appointed Chairman of the Board, replacing Michael Steinmetz who will remain on the Board. Joining BioXell's Board of Directors is Werner Lanthaler, CFO of Intercell. Both appointments are effective immediately.
Thomas Szucs, chairman of Swiss life science investment company BB Biotech, has been a member of BioXell's Board of Directors since 2004. He is also Co-Chairman of the European Centre of Pharmaceutical Medicine at the University of Basel and leads health economic research and training at the Medical Faculty of the University of Zurich.
Werner Lanthaler, PhD, has been CFO at Vienna-based biotech company Intercell since 2001, where he has been instrumental in the growth of the company and its public listing early last year.
