Inion Appoints Mr Julien Cotta as Chief Financial Officer
Inion announced that Julien Cotta has been appointed as Chief Financial Officer and executive member of the Company's Board of Directors. Mr Cotta will take up his duties in June 2006.
Since gaining his qualification as a Chartered Accountant from Coopers & Lybrand (now PriceWaterhouseCoopers) in 1992, Mr Cotta (42) has gained significant experience of establishing and running best financial practice and process for organisations within the life sciences sector. He has an in-depth understanding of all commercial functions and practical experience of reporting and working with international groups.
Mr Cotta joins Inion from Whatman Plc, a FTSE 250 listed UK company, at which he has held the position of Group Financial Controller since 2004, managing a large financial team and reporting to the CFO. Before this, Mr Cotta was Vice President Financial Accounting at Chiron UK, following its takeover of PowderJect Pharmaceuticals plc, which he joined as Group Financial Controller in 1999.
