New CEO of DakoCytomation A/S
"DakoCytomation has grown and has undergone many changes during the last five to six years and is now prepared for strong growth and further development. Jes Østergaard has chosen to vacate the post of president at this stage due to disagreement about how fast the company can and should grow. On behalf of the Board and personally I am very pleased that Jes Østergaard has agreed to continue as consultant," says Sonnich Fryland, chairman of DakoCytomation's Board. "Patrik Dahlén, who has a strong background from managerial positions in the diagnostics and life sciences industries, has been chosen by the Board to serve as acting CEO until we appoint a permanent replacement."
Patrik Dahlén is currently CEO of BioImage. Earlier positions include president of the Life Sciences business unit of PerkinElmer Inc. and general manager of the Diagnostics Systems Division of EG&G Wallac OY.
"DakoCytomation is a fine company with a strong product portfolio, dedicated and competent employees, and an excellent reputation. My challenge will be to improve our competitiveness in the market so that we grow even faster in the future," says Patrik Dahlén.
