ClinPhone Introduces New State-of-the-Art Data Center Following Recent Influx of New Business

28-Jul-2005

ClinPhone has introduced its new data center following the successful growth of the business. This new center will work in tandem with ClinPhone's existing data center infrastructure, enabling the Company to cope with growing client demands. Enhancing this infrastructure will provide the Company with the capability to deal with a higher volume of studies, doubling the inbound Interactive Voice Response (IVR) calls capacity to two million per month.

The opening of this new center coincides with the major release of ClinPhone's new Oracle based Application Platform. This new release enables ClinPhone, an Oracle business partner, to provide additional functionality and strong enterprise data management for its customers. The introduction of the new data center will provide a multitude of scalability and capacity benefits for ClinPhone's customers. These will include increasing the fax capacity, telecommunications, data storage and physical computing capacity. These capacity increases will benefit the Company's outbound services as well as its inbound IVR and Interactive Web Response (IWR) capabilities, contributing to higher availability targets. The new facility will also use a high-tech storage and backup software platform from IBM, which will guarantee that all data collected is safer, more efficient and available 24/7.

This investment in key infrastructure will allow ClinPhone to strengthen its business continuity plans and capabilities and reduce risk for its customers. To date, ClinPhone's solutions have been deployed in nearly 1400 trials across 88 countries and in 71 languages, with 398 current live trials. Therefore, the robustness of the company's IT systems is paramount to ensuring a stable and high quality service to its global customers in the biotech and pharmaceutical industries.

Daljit Cheema, Chief Technology Officer at ClinPhone, comments: "In order to cope with growing client demands, we have made major changes to our key infrastructure and introduced a new data center to increase our capacity and security. Our new IT platform will ultimately make our operation more flexible and our new second data center will further strengthen our systems availability, as the volume of clinical transactions grows in line with increased sponsor demand for our services."
