Helix Genomics Licenses Its Premiere Biological Suite to CMSD, UoHyd

Helix Genomics Pvt. Ltd. (HGPL) announced the Licensing of its Premiere Biological software Suite, Biological Operating System (BOS) to Centre for Modelling, Simulation and Design (CMSD) at University of Hyderabad (UoHyd).

BOS is the first of its kind among the existing biological software's and is unique in being the higher-level user friendly Object Oriented Biological Programming Environment (O2-BPE). BOS is indigenously developed and patented technology from Helix Genomics Pvt. Ltd. (HGPL).

Explaining the License, CEO-HGPL said, the bio-researcher is offered with extensive and user friendly software environment enabling timely and efficient implementation of research projects. The License has been extended to cover all the Research Labs at School of Life Sciences, University of Hyderabad. This will facilitate in building long term research collaboration with HGPL delivering better and faster computational solutions.

BOS has been extensively validated for more than 1500 man-hours on its modules and applications using in-house and contract research projects from Europe and India. Projects include solving the biological data redundancy problems in public data bases, creation of unique databases of repeat sequences, restriction enzymes and oncologically significant novel genes. Studies reflected average 60-75% savings on researcher time and similar equivalents on the research costs.
