Emergent BioSolutions Announces Appointment of Ronald Richard to the Board of Directors
Emergent BioSolutions Inc. announced the appointment of Ronald Richard to join its six-person Board of Directors. Mr. Richard is currently the President and CEO of the Cleveland Foundation, the nation's oldest community foundation, which has more than $1.6 billion in assets. Mr. Richard has also served in senior management positions at Panasonic/Matsushita Electric and In-Q-Tel and is a former U.S. Diplomat who served in Yokohama and Osaka/Kobe, Japan and in Washington, D.C.
Mr. Richard holds a master's degree in international relations from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies and a bachelor's degree in history from Washington University in St. Louis.
In addition to serving on Emergent's board, Mr. Richard also serves on the board of trustees of Spelman College and on the board of advisors of the Landegger Program in International Business Diplomacy at the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service. He also currently serves as chairman of the board of trustees of the International Biomedical Research Alliance (NIH-Oxford and Cambridge Universities).
