Jack Huttner Named Chairman of New York Biotechnology Association (NYBA)
Huttner succeeds Dr. Ron Cohen to lead the third largest state biotechnology organization in the United States
The New York biotechnology Association, Inc. (NYBA) announced that Jack Huttner has been appointed its new Chairman of the Board of Directors. Elected for a two-year term, Huttner will chair the volunteer board of senior executives representing New York's leading companies, research centers and professional service providers. Huttner, vice president of Genencor International, is an industry leader and brings more than 15 years of management experience to the board.
Huttner is Vice President of Corporate Communications and Public Affairs at Genencor International, Inc. one of the top biotechnology companies in the world. With its business and manufacturing headquarters in Rochester, NY, Genencor develops industrial biocatalysts and targeted cancer therapeutics. Besides serving on NYBA's board, Huttner has leadership positions at BIO in Washington, DC and EuropaBio in Brussels. He also represents the U.S. biotechnology industry to a number of International Governmental Organizations (IGO's) including the OECD.
