ILMAC 2013: a hub for process and laboratory technology
Focus on pharmaceutical packaging
The primary and secondary packaging of pharmaceutical products constitutes an integral part of the value added process, and there are overlaps with the production process on certain technical counts. In the specialist pharmaceutical packaging section, which is being positioned in the same area as classical process technology, suppliers of pharmaceuticals packaging will have a first-class opportunity to present their systems, products and services and benefit from the high concentration of visitors from the pharmaceutical and chemical industry. The "Lunch and Learn" lecture series will focus inter alia on the subject of track and trace and the associated tamper-evident closures.
Focus on food and beverage technology
The interaction between nutrition, food quality and health in the production processes and hygiene regulations differs only marginally from the situation in the pharmaceutical industry. More stringent regulations are increasingly necessitating measures that are already daily practice in pharmaceutical companies. With a view to the growing importance of functional and convenience food, ILMAC will be placing the spotlight on the 'in vogue' topic of hygienic design and incorporating this in the "Lunch and Learn" lecture series. Exhibitors from the process technology section will similarly have the opportunity to specially highlight products that are used in the food and beverage sector and to present these to the new target visitor groups.
ILMAC 2013 is thus, more than ever before, a key platform for the entire spectrum of process and laboratory technology. It covers all the different areas from research and development, via the pilot phase and engineering, right through to production and disposal, and maps out the entire production sequence. From 24 to 27 September 2013, specialists from the pharmaceutical, chemical, food, beverages, cosmetics and biotechnology sectors will be able to gain insight into the innovations in the broad field of industrial applications in process and laboratory technology. Exhibition manager Robert Appel is convinced that ILMAC 2013 will maintain its significant position within the sector. "Even though the world has changed drastically over the past few years, through Google and the social media, the classical form of fostering customer relations through face-to-face contact still remains the most effective means of advertising. And there is no better opportunity for this than taking part in a trade fair."
