Evotec CEO awarded 'Turnarounder of the Year 2012'
Evotec AG announced that Dr Werner Lanthaler, Chief Executive Officer of Evotec, was awarded the prize 'Turnarounder of the Year 2012'. Due to Dr Lanthaler's temporary absence from Evotec, Dr Mario Polywka, Chief Operating Officer, accepted the award on behalf of Dr Lanthaler.
Dr Mario Polywka, Chief Operating Officer of Evotec, commented: 'I am delighted to accept this award on behalf of Werner. By developing and implementing new strategies, the Management Board of Evotec was able to reduce costs significantly, increase revenue and form strategic alliances, thus paving the way for a more promising and sustainable future for our company. Our thanks go to all the employees at Evotec as this success would not have been possible without their commitment and enthusiasm.'
Dr Werner Lanthaler was voted Turnarounder of the year in the category of up to 750 employees. 'By implementing new strategies, Evotec reduced risks significantly and created a solid foundation for profitable growth', said jury member Dr Nikolaus Förster, editor-in-chief of the business magazine 'impulse'.
