PANATecs GmbH Appoints Rainer Baule, Chairman of the Board of Fresenius Kabi AG, to the Advisory Board

Prof. Peter Ruppersberg is leaving the Advisory Board of PANATecs GmbH on 27 April 2010 at his own wish. His successor is Rainer Baule, Member of the Board of Fresenius SE and Chairman of the Board of Fresenius Kabi AG.

Prof. Peter Ruppersberg has resigned his position as Member of the Advisory Board of the firm of PANATecs, as his business activities have shifted to Switzerland. He has been active in the Advisory Board of PANATecs GmbH since the founding and has made an essential contribution to the development of the company.

In the name of all partners, Dr. Benedikt Merz, Managing Director of PANATecs GmbH, thanked Prof. Peter Ruppersberg for his many years of trendsetting work in the Advisory Board, particularly when the company was starting and expanding.

Rainer Baule has been a member of the Board of Fresenius SE since 1 June 1997. He has been Chairman of the Board of Fresenius Kabi AG since 7 May 2001. From 1996 to 1997, he was Chairman of the Board of Management of EG&G Berthold, Bad Wildbad. Since 1979, he has had various managerial positions in the Carl Zeiss Group in Oberkochen - both in Germany and in the USA. He was most recently company divisional director and member of Zeiss group management. His first position was as managing partner in Komeg-Kontroll-Technik GmbH, Riegelsberg. Rainer Baule studied industrial engineering at Darmstadt Technical University.

Rainer Baule's work in the PANATecs GmbH Advisory Board will be in collaboration with the Chairman, Günter Steffen, ZFHN Zukunftsfonds Beteiligungs-Gmbh & Co. KG, and the Deputy Chairman, Prof. Gerhard Anton Müller MD, Faculty of Medicine, Göttingen University.
