Dermagnostix closes Seed Plus Funding Round of €4.6 M
Molecular diagnostics of skin diseases
Dermagnostix has closed a €4.6 M Seed Plus to launch its revolutionary microfluidics-based system for diagnostics of skin diseases. Over the past months the outstanding team has developed the first product PsorX for the upcoming market entry and complemented the team with highly motivated employees in quality management, engineering, and operations. The fresh capital will now serve to roll out PsorX-LabDisk and LabDisk-Analyzer in Germany and Europe and to expand the test menu in the field of skin cancer and chronic inflammatory skin diseases.

Dermatology has experienced a therapeutic revolution over the past decade with dozens of small molecules and biologicals to treat patients with melanoma, psoriasis and eczema better than ever before. In contrast, diagnostics in dermatology is still largely based on a subjective visual examination and there building up a huge gap between diagnostics and therapeutics. Modern molecular diagnostics is now urgently needed to complement conventional diagnostics as imprecise diagnostics make modern therapeutics investors.
With PsorX, the first text worldwide to differentiate psoriasis from eczema on molecular level, Dermagnostix addresses a huge diagnostic gap. Dermagnostix’ Seed investors reinvested, and new private investors and family offices were won for this round, with this underpinning their trust and confidence not only in the team but also in the products that will bring added value to conventional diagnostics. Further recently acquired funding such as an EIC accelerator grant of €2.5 M strengthens the young company’s path to success. The Dermagnostix team is excited to proof its innovation in pathology laboratories and hospitals and is ready for growth!
