Corning and Sartorius Stedim Biotech Announce Collaboration

Corning Incorporated and Sartorius Stedim Biotech announced a co-marketing and branding collaboration. The companies intend to leverage existing synergies to co-market a full range of cell culture products through a combined product catalog and work together on numerous marketing and sales initiatives. Additionally, the companies are exploring best options and approaches for future research and development (R&D) efforts and joint product development.

"As competitive pressures in the cell culture industry continue to evolve and increase, it is critical that we are able to offer customers a full range of cell culture laboratory products spanning basic research to full-scale production," said Thomas Appelt, vice president and general manager, Corning Life Sciences. "Our collaboration with another industry leader like Sartorius Stedim Biotech will strongly position both companies for future success."

The collaboration will build off the companies' existing relationship and will take effect immediately.
