Vipera berus sachalinensis
Vipera berus sachalinensis is a venomous viper subspecies[4] found in the Russian Far East, China, North Korea and on Sakhalin Island.[5] Additional recommended knowledge
Geographic rangeRussian Far East (Amur), China (Jilin), North Korea and on Sakhalin Island.[5] According the Schwarz (1936), the type locality is "Sachalin" (Sakhalin Island, Russia).[1] TaxonomyMcDiarmid et al. (1999) follow Golay et al. (1993) and recognize V. b. sachalinensis as a subspecies of V. berus.[1] However, is has been considered a full species in recent literature.[5] See also
