  • Donor Bus – 1943 Routemaster which travels the country promoting donation and transplantation
  • Supporting their member organisations and network of volunteers through the provision of information, promotion and publicity material
  • Contact with the media to promote positive stories on transplantation
  • Supporting local and national campaigns (e.g. Live Life Then Give Life).

National Transplant Week

Every year TIM organises National Transplant Week (NTW); a week of publicity and events that actively promotes organ and tissue donation for transplantation.

The theme of National Transplant Week 2007 (7th – 14th July) is "What are YOU waiting for?" and features Robyn Tainty who is currently waiting for a life saving transplant. This year their target is to sign up over 75,000 new names to the NHS Organ Donor Register in an attempt to help achieve the government’s targets on transplantation.

In 2006, the 16th year of National Transplant Week ran from 9th – 15th July, with the launch at the House of Lords on 6th July 2006, sponsored by Lord Elder - a heart transplant recipient.

The theme of the year’s campaign was: "You don’t need to be a hero to save lives" highlighting that anyone can potentially save lives by signing up to the NHS Organ Donor Register. This message encouraged more than 60,000 to register.
