R. Sanders WilliamsRobert Sanders Williams is the Dean of the Duke University Medical School. Williams was born in Athens, Georgia in 1948, and attended Princeton University, graduating in 1970. He then earned an M.D. from Duke University's Medical School in 1974. Williams served as a professor of medicine at Duke from 1980 to 1990. After a professorship the the Medical Center at the University of Texas, Southwestern, Williams took up his current position, in 2001. He is also a member of the National Academy of Sciences, and served as president of the Association of University Cardiologists. |
