Olav Vadstein



Olav Vadstein, Professor of Biology, born 14th of February1955 in Trondheim. Grew up in Oslo, Norway. Professor at Laboratory of Biotechnology, University of Trondheim, Norway. Did his Doctor philosicum in 1994: "The Role of Heterotrophic Planktonic Bacteria and the Cyclus of Phosphorus in Lakes'. Has been working as a researcher at Trondheim Biology Station, NTNU. He was in charge of the ComWeb-project in Hopavaagen, and has worked with large names like Maricult and Hydro. Internationally acknowledged scientist and speaker on micro- and marin biology conferences throughout the world. Articles which he has authored or co-authored have been published in some of the worlds most renowned science magazines, and he has been quoted in magazines like «New Scientist» and «Gemini».
