Starting May 15, 2000 NIMDAC officially started its website. ObjectiveIts purposes are to update its members with the current medical literature, with the scientific and educational programs, which are held regularly throughout the year. The association also promotes social and cultural values to its members, spouses, children and public at large. The association also donates to the charitable organizations regularly every year. The funds are raised from the membership dues and from the sponsors and are solely used for the purposes mentioned above. All the office bearers are volunteer workers, who with the help of its members organize educational and social events throughout the year. Conventions
Each of the conventions takes place on Thanks Giving weekend. Usually the people arrive on the Saturday, do all the events on the Sunday, and leave on the monday. Events include Adult Talent show, Tennis Tournaments, and Kids talent show. During both Talent shows, anyone is allowed to do anything from singing and dancing, to comedy. Stand up comedy might be rare, but some people have made themselves famous among other people in the convention for it. Every Year the association has an annual golf tournament. It took place in Angus Glen this year. |
