Muscular Dystrophy Family Foundation

Founded in 1958, the Muscular Dystrophy Family Foundation (MDFF) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit health agency located in Indianapolis, Indiana whose motto is No Boundaries. The MDFF has no affiliation with the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) or the fund-raising telethons associated with them. Unlike the MDA, MDFF does not have research as part of their mission. Rather, MDFF is concerned with providing adaptive equipment and emotional support to those who suffer from muscular dystrophy, both patients and their families. This support is provided in a number of ways, through financial assistance to defray the cost of equipment, maintenance of clinics for children and adults, organization of social events, organization of personal visitations in home and school settings, administration of the Project for Independence and Mobility (PIM), and administration of the Miracle Dreams for Families program.
