Michael Archinal



  Michael Archinal (born 20 August 1963) was born in Sydney, Australia, into a family of four elder sisters. His father died of lung cancer the day after his birth. He is married with 3 children. He is the owner of Australia's biggest mixed animal veterinary hospital on site, Canberra Veterinary Hospital. He is also the owner of Queanbeyan Veterinary Hospital and Canberra Equine Hospital. He is famed as a celebrity TV presenter, Dr. Ark, on the channel nine network show, Mornings With Kerri-Anne, since 2001. He also guest stars on talk-back ABC Radio, and writes for the nationally acclaimed Dogs Life magazine.

Education

Michael Archinal attended Marcellin College Randwick from 1973 to 1982, where he received numerous academic awards. He then studied veterinary science at the Sydney University, graduating in 1987. Since then he has undertaken post-graduate study in dermatology, animal behavior and is a qualified accupuncturist. He completed his preliminary theology certificate in 2006.

Media Appearances

ABC Radio is where Michael Archinal really started to move outside the vet hospital. He featured on a talk back program where he covered a wide range of topics.

Michael Archinal is a regular on the television program Mornings With Kerri Anne. He features every Thursday morning and speaks on topics ranging from alternative treatments to alternative pets. He joined on with the MWKA team in 2001, when the show restarted. Since then only he and one other regular are still in the team after almost 1000 shows. Michael is also a consultant and writer for the Australian nationally distributed Dogs Life magazine.

More recently, Archinal was invited to speak at the Wild West Veterinary Conference in Reno, Nevada, being the only international speaker.
