Mental Illness Fellowship Victoria

Mental Illness Fellowship Victoria (MI Fellowship) is a membership-based not-for-profit organisation working with people with mental illness, their families and friends to improve their well being. Key activities of MI Fellowship include advocacy, education and services that provide short to long term psychiatric care. MI Fellowship is one of the largest member organisations of Mental Illness Fellowship of Australia.

The Mental Illness Fellowship was started as the Schizophrenia Fellowship of Victoria in 1978 by families of people with a mental illness. In 2001 it changed its name, and logo, to the Mental Illness Fellowship Victoria both to reflect the broader work of the organisation and to speak more directly on the impact of mental illness in people’s lives.
