Max Planck Institute for NeurobiologyThe Max Planck Institute of Neurobiology is a research institute of the Max Planck Society located in Martinsried, a suburb of Munich. It was created as "Deutsche Forschungsanstalt für Psychiatrie" in 1917, and incorporated into the Kaiser-Wilhelm-Gesellschaft 1925. The theoretical branch of this institute is located next to the Max Planck Institute of Biochemistry since 1984. The was renamed to Max Planck Institute for Neurobiology in 1998.
