Isopropyl iodide (also iododimethylmethane, 2-propyl iodide, sec-propyl iodide or 2-iodopropane) is a colorless, flammable chemical compound. It has the chemical formula C3H7I and is prepared by distilling isopropyl alcohol with hydrogen iodide, or with glycerol, iodine, and phosphorus.[1] References
