EurotransplantEurotransplant is an association of countries who share a common list of organ transplants, created by Professor Dr. van Rood in 1967, in Leiden, the Netherlands. Member states include the Benelux countries, Germany, Austria, Slovenia and Croatia. Eurotransplant helps coordinate work in these countries' transplant centers, tissue classification laboratories, and hospitals, with the goal of efficiently distributing donated organs and tissues. The group also promotes research into transplantation and seeks to raise public awareness of the benefits of donation.
