BraxyBraxy is an inflammatory disease in the abomasal lining of sheep caused by the bacterium Clostridium septicum (aka Bacillus septicus). Additional recommended knowledgeBraxy is often brought on by a change from succulent food to dry (or icy) food. It is usually seen in young sheep, in particular those not protected with a Clostridial vaccine. The mutton affected with this disease can also be referred to as braxy. References
