Bird flu in CroatiaThe Bird flu effects appeared in Croatia in October 2005 when 16 swans died of the H5N1 virus were found in a fish pond near Našice and in the nature park of Zdenci. The Croatian authorities have since disinfected and quarantined areas around the sites and killed tens of thousands of poultry in the area. See also |
