Dr Andrew McKay (born July 14, 1970) is a former Australian rules footballer in the Australian Football League.

He made his debut in 1993 with Carlton and was a very solid, reliable defender.

Late in his career, McKay took up veterinary science, studying at the University of Queensland and training with the university's amateur football club whilst commuting to Melbourne to play with the Blues.

2003, which turned out to be McKay's last year, was probably his most eventful. With his team struggling, McKay stepped up to the captaincy following the retirement of Brett Ratten, and also won the Robert Reynolds Trophy.

McKay is now a practising veterinarian as well as working for the AFL on the match review committee.
