Alchornea floribunda is a plant native to Sudan, Uganda, Cameroon, Central African Republic, the Republic of Congo, Equatorial Guinea (incl. Bioko), Gabon, Sao Tome and Principe, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Cote D'Ivoire, Ghana, Guinea, Liberia, Nigeria and Sierra Leone.[1]

The plant has psychedelic and aphrodisiac properties.[2] The powdered rootbark is used for traditional medicine.
