Prophyta Biologischer Pflanzenschutz GmbH

PROPHYTA, founded in 1992, develops, produces and markets biological plant protection products. The products are primarily preparations based on living micro-organisms. Thanks to the intensive research work and innovative developments of its highly qualified and experienced staff, PROPHYTA has developed Germany's first biological fungicide, Contans®WG. The managing director Dr. Peter Lüth was honored for the development and production of biological pesticides with the "Deutscher Umweltpreis" Award 2002.

PROPHYTA offers its expertise in fermentation process development and in formulation of micro-organisms as userfriendly products. PROPHYTA takes over reasearch services e.g. fungicide testing, resitance screening, plant disease diagnosis etc..

PROPHYTA is a participant in several research projects funded by the local, national and European governments. The aim of these research projects is to develop ecologically sound plant-protection agents by using micro-organisms.
