BioCon Valley GmbH

There is hardly another area combining so many research fields as life sciences and there are rarely so many business opportunity as in health economy. The more important it is to connect the different competencies in order to tap the full potentials of this sector both in the region and beyond. Since 2001 the BioCon Valley® Initiative is established by way of two independed bodies, the 'BioCon Valley® GmbH' company and the 'BioCon Valley Mecklenburg-Vorpommern e.V.' association. The association is co-proprietor of the company as a public private partnership. The activities of the BioCon Valley® initiative are facilitated by material and non-material support of the State Government of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern represented by the Ministry of Economics.

For more than ten years now BioCon Valley® bundles the forces of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern from life sciences to health economy.

Informing BioCon Valley® pursues an active role in the public relations work and the promotion of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern as a research and business location for life sciences and health economy. It has established itself as a central point of information and communication for these areas.

Networking BioCon Valley® fosters the dialogue between the stakeholders from business, research, and politics with the aim to connect competencies and to initiate cooperation and project work on national as well as international level.

Initiating BioCon Valley® accompanies young, technology-oriented companies and offers them room for development in an own technology center. In addition BioCon Valley independently develops projects on behalf of public and private clients.

Marketing BioCon Valley® supports businesses marketing their products with its expertise and its network contacts.
