GrupoBios S.A.

GrupoBios was born in 2008 from the merger of BiosChile I.G.S.A. and BiosWerfen S.A. and is an organization dedicated to the research, development, manufacturing and commercialization of products, services, equipment and software for human and animal health, biomedical research and industry.

GrupoBios is made up of 3 business divisions:

- BiosChile Ingeniería Genética , responsible for the commercialization of reagents, supplies, equipment and services for the biomedical research market and industry.

- BiosWerfen , focused on the commercialization of reagents, supplies, equipment, software and services for the clinical diagnostic area.

- Austral Biologicals : dedicated to the distribution of antibodies, recombinant proteins, peptides and antigens for biomedical research, particularly for the North American, European and Asian markets.

Our mission is to be a leading company in the generation and commercialization of high value-added products and services for diagnostics, biomedical research and industry, generating solid and sustained growth.

BiosChile and Bioswerfen have ISO9001:2000 quality certification, which covers manufacturing, sales, distribution and service processes. GrupoBios aims to complete the certification process under ISO 13485 during 2008.

GrupoBios operates in a 20,000-square-meter plant with 4,500 square meters of floor space. Of this, approximately 3,000 square meters have been set aside for research and development laboratories, quality control laboratories, production areas, library, offices and warehouses. GrupoBios currently employs 95 people, including professionals and technicians.
