Created in 1984, Chemunex specialises in the development, production and distribution of innovative products for rapid detection and identification of micro-organisms in industrial sectors such as pharmaceutical, cosmetics, personal care, food and drinking water
The unique sensitivity and rapidity of the revolutionary technology developed by the company allows the real-time monitoring of manufacturing processes, as well as a substantial reduction of inventories of raw material and finished products.
Headquartered in Paris, Chemunex has direct sales and support operations in France, Germany, Benelux, UK, Italy, Spain and USA. Distribution agreements are in place within other parts of Europe, Asia, Latin America and South Africa.
Following the successful alternative public exchange or purchase offer on July 30, 2001, which had been launched by AES Laboratoire Groupe, Chemunex is a subsidiary of AES Laboratoire Groupe.
CHEMUNEX announced its merger with AES Laboratoire.
The general meetings of AES Laboratoire and Chemunex companies, that took place on 30 August 2006, approved the merger by way of the absorption plan of AES Laboratoire by Chemunex.
The extraordinary general meeting, on 30 August 2006, decided :
- the change of business name of the company which becomes ‘’AES Chemunex’’
- the change of head office to Route de Dol, 35270 Combourg, France.
Since the 1st September 2006, the new entity is "AES Chemunex":
AES Chemunex is a public company listed on EURONEXT (in Paris).
