Peak Analysis & Automation (paa) was formed by the merger in 2012 of Process Analysis & Automation (a UK limited company founded in 1992) and Peak Robotics Inc (a privately held S-Corporation founded in 1989).
Peak Analysis & Automation Ltd (UK) provides state-of-the-art automation and measurement technology to the pharmaceutical and chemical industries. The company was formed by five former members of the paa team at the BP Research Centre at Sunbury-on-Thames, UK. Originally supplying bespoke data acquisition systems to UK industry, we now trade globally with products and services mainly covering Laboratory Automation. The key products are the advanced harmony interface, a touch screen user interface for one or multiple people to access an automation system; Overlord3, an advanced automation software control software package with multiple run engines; and a range of robot safety cells.
Peak Analysis & Automation Inc (USA) is a manufacturer that designs and builds a range of precision laboratory robots and OEM robots. robotic systems, and automated equipment for a variety of laboratory and manufacturing applications. The original founders of the company had many years’ experience in factory automation and robotics prior to incorporating in 1989. The company started out (under the name of MEKAnize Inc.) as a designer of special machines and integrator of robotic and motion control products and then expanded into manufacturing its own robots. Currently the robots are manufactured in-house by the company mainly for the biotechnology and clinical automation markets. Current the range included the BiNEDx (2 degree of freedom) robot, KiNEDx (4 DOF robot), SciNEDx (3 DOF robot for inside equipment cabinets) and ProNEDx (a new generation of 4 DOF robots for collaborative working)
Together the paa companies offer a complete design and build option for robots and robot workcells. Wherever possible manufacturing is completed locally, we put a high priority on this philosophy because of the improved control it gives us over quality and deliveries. In addition, we are also a firm believer in using local suppliers whenever possible helping to support the local economy. The company, as well as the product line, remains highly flexible and devoted to each customer’s special needs. Custom-engineered robots are always a portion of the business and the standard robot line can easily be modified and customized for special applications.
