ProMetic BioSciences Ltd ("PBL") uses its unique and proprietary Mimetic Ligand(TM) technology to design and manufacture robust affinity separation materials that provide extremely high levels of purification. This is achieved through the use of small chemical affinity ligands designed to specifically and reversibly bind a target biomolecule. Given their use in the manufacture of therapeutics, ProMetics affinity products are manufactured to strict quality standards at PBLs GMP-compliant manufacturing facility on the Isle of Man. In 2005, the plant was expanded as part of a £1.5 million investment. PBL also operates an R&D laboratory located in Cambridge Science Park, UK.
