DIREVO is recognized as a world leader in the field of enzyme engineering and strain development by using its unique screening platform technology. As a full service provider in industrial biotechnology DIREVO offers access to biodiversity via strain collection of partners as well as development of scalable production processes.
DIREVO Industrial Biotechnology GmbH was founded in 2008 as a spin-out of former DIREVO AG´s Industrial Biotechnology business unit and AC Biotec GmbH.
DIREVO applies sophisticated and validated bioengineering technologies to deliver innovative products and processes focusing on the food, feed,chemicals and biorefinery markets. Products are developed either independently or in conjunction with global leaders such as Danisco/Genencor and Nestlé. Initial products from DIREVO´s enzyme optimization facility have already gone on the market.
DIREVO is part of the initiative CLIB 2021, which was awarded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research for its members' future-oriented research and development efforts towards novel and innovative products.
