About VDI
The Association of German Engineers (VDI) represents about 136.000 engineers and natural scientists in Germany and abroad. Established since 1856 as a financially and politically unaffiliated non-profit organization, the VDI has become today one of the largest engineering associations in Europe. In Germany, it has long been recognized as the voice of engineers both within the profession as well as in the public arena. Throughout the years, the Association of German Engineers has successfully expanded its activities committing itself to strongly support and bring knowledge to all those interested on technology and technical issues. Thus, throughout its different projects and initiatives, the VDI is today not only a platform for professional engineers but also for undergraduates, scholars and kids. Via its internal divisions and its regional and international chapters, the VDI offers a unique network platform. Members benefit from training, technical knowledge, career support as well as many other services which effectively support them throughout the different stages of their career paths as engineers and/or as natural scientist.
