BioCologne e.V.

BioCologne, the association for the promotion of the biotechnology in the Rhineland, supports foundations and settlements of companies from the Life Science sector in the Cologne region with competent consultation and promotion. As communication and co-operation network we are available as partners for scientists, founders and entrepreneurs and interlace them purposefully among themselves and with industry experts, financial sources and authorities. In order to support and secure the success of the Cologne Biotech region, one of the Top regions of Germany, on a long-term basis, we take part actively in the further development of the location by purposeful national and international location marketing. On local and regional level our main tasks are therefore the improvement of cross-linking between science and economics, as well as the optimization of the structural basic conditions. On national and international level we participate in congresses and fairs, in order to present the location Cologne and address aimed enterprises. As one of the founding members we co-operate on a regional level with BioRiver and are interlaced with the associations and institutions of the ABCD region. In this composition BioCologne is partner of the European project „BioSmile“, with which the cross-linking of the Biotech regions South-England, North France, Belgium, the Netherlands and Rhine country is promoted.
